About

MY STORY

I’m Dr. Piper O’Neal, DNP, MSN-Ed., BSN, RN, and the founder of Serendipity HealthCare Consulting, LLC. With over 24 years of experience in correctional healthcare leadership, I now dedicate my work to improving access to care for veterans, older adults, and underserved communities. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Duquesne University, where my focus was on expanding community-based care access. I’ve also had the privilege of teaching both undergraduate and graduate nursing students.

With additional training in economics from Columbia University, I bring a multidisciplinary perspective to healthcare systems improvement. Through Serendipity HealthCare Consulting, LLC, I leverage my clinical, administrative, and academic experience to advocate for systems-level change—especially for those too often left behind.

MY VISION

Servant leadership begins with the ability to follow, to understand the needs of others before leading them. For me, nursing and leadership are not paths I chose—they chose me. I believe this is a divine calling. My purpose is to advocate for and protect the health of vulnerable populations, especially incarcerated men and women, by ensuring they receive consistent, comprehensive healthcare that meets the standards upheld in our broader communities
